Hackney Walk Goes Green with the Launch of Hackney Pop-Up Garden and Workshops

This summer, Hackney Walk, London’s luxury outlet district, is going green with the launch of Hackney Garden, a month of plant inspired activity. The Hackney Garden will transform the urban space at Hackney Walk into a lush, green utopia and aims to inspire budding, green fingered Londoners to get outdoors and learn a new skill with a line-up of free workshops.

These exclusive opportunities are in collaboration with Hackney Arts and will allow attendees to learn something new under the guidance of East London’s exciting talent and independent business owners all for free. There’s an introduction to the basics of working with flowers and insight into contemporary floristry with That Flower Shop. Get your hands dirty with Grace & Thorn’s Terrarium Workshop, try candle making with Earl of East, craft herbal goodies with Hackney Herbal whilst social media aficionado and influencer Zoe Timmers (@zobolondon), will be offering tips on lifestyle photography.

Join in at the Hackney Garden and lounge in the deckchairs designed by Darkroom amongst the tropical planting, or visit the shed – also designed by Darkroom which will be hosting up seasonal food and drink. Get green in the Hackney Garden 1st July – 31 July 2017.
